Hello everyone.
I am new to the forum, and a new f 150 xlt ecoboost owner. I was just wondering if anyone here has had a chance to race their ecoboost against a ram truck with a hemi in real world conditions. I have not had that chance yet but look forward to it. I just get tired of listening to the ram owners talking about how they will blow the doors off of an ecoboost truck when they find one on the street. Just curious. Hope everyone has a great day.

We went from a 2005 hemi with 3:93 rear gear and 4x4 to the 3:73 Eco 4X4 , now although the throttle responce has a bit of a turbo lag after that split second it beats the Hemi hands down at full throttle.
MPG is 18.5 to 19ish depends on traffic and driving habits with the eco the dodge hemi was 14.6 to 15.6....

Me and a friend of mine went to an abandoned run way in our town and raced his 2011 chevy silverado 5.3 2wd against my eco boost xlt 2wd.
I felt sorry for the guy after running them 4 or 5 times thru a 1/4 mile distance. I beat him by 6-7 truck lengths every time and i was letting off the gas about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way to the end of each race. He is thinking of trading his chevy in on an ecoboost because he also does some trailer pulling also. I am still wanting run against a ram hemi when i get the chance.

Not necessarily. Sometimes it's that something is wrong. I have over 8K on mine, and as I got more miles, the worse my mileage was getting. Still waiting on injectors to replace the bad ones..........................

The 2005 hemi only had 345HP so the ecoboost should beat it. Hell my Titan will woop up on a 345HP hemi. I am too wondering how the 390HP hemi does against the eco in real world conditions.
